Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Rig cargo. Operate machines and equipment. Load and off-load machines. Load, unload and transport construction materials. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Forklift Operator Certification. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Tractor-trailer. Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Security and safety: Bondable. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Overtime required. Sitting.
