Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Assign projects to subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations and employee relations. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes. Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures. Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff. Supervision: 3-4 people. Area of specialization: Human resources. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently.
