Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Examine the patient. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments. Set up and dismantle equipment. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Clean and maintain equipment. Record vital signs. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Conduct research in physiotherapy. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Process files and paperwork. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Morning. Day. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Support for youths: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Support for Indigenous people: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers .
