Our work spans multi-family housing, institutional, and commercial projects, and we are committed to excellence, collaboration, and making a positive impact in the communities we serve. *Summary* We are seeking a Construction Estimator to join our team in Burnaby. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing accurate project estimates that support our company's mission of quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects. *Responsibilities* * Assist with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of daily project activities, including short-term lookaheads and site logistics. * Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information. * Support project teams during the bidding process and prepare bid proposals and assist in contract negotiations. * Use Bluebeam to enhance estimating accuracy. * Review and update pricing strategies based on market trends. * Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client requirements. * Support materials purchasing by obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, tracking approvals, confirming lead times, and reconciling packing slips with delivered materials. * Support budget preparation, cost tracking, and basic financial reporting by monitoring cost codes, change impacts, and invoice status. *Qualifications* * Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within a general contracting environment. * Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and project management software. * Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively. * Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. * Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. * Relevant certifications or training in construction estimation is a plus.
