<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><b><strong>SCADA/MES Software Developer - Industrial Automation</strong></b></p><p>Wage based on experience</p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled <b><strong>Smart Manufacturing Developer</strong></b> with expertise in <b><strong>MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)</strong></b>, <b><strong>SCADA systems</strong></b>, and <b><strong>Track and Trace solutions</strong></b> to support advanced <b><strong>industrial automation</strong></b> and <b><strong>Industry 4.0 initiatives</strong></b>. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining <b><strong>data-driven manufacturing systems</strong></b> that enhance operational efficiency, visibility, and control across production environments.</p><p><b><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></b></p><ul><li>Lead the <b><strong>system design</strong></b>, <b><strong>requirements development</strong></b>, and <b><strong>software engineering</strong></b> lifecycle based on functional specifications</li><li>Architect and implement <b><strong>SCADA and MES solutions</strong></b> using platforms such as <b><strong>Ignition</strong></b></li><li>Drive <b><strong>system integration</strong></b>, <b><strong>test planning</strong></b>, <b><strong>validation</strong></b>, and <b><strong>commissioning</strong></b> of automation systems</li><li>Develop and deploy <b><strong>Industry 4.0</strong></b> and <b><strong>IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things)</strong></b> solutions aligned with customer requirements</li><li>Configure and maintain <b><strong>industrial networks</strong></b> including <b><strong>TCP/IP</strong></b>, <b><strong>Modbus</strong></b>, <b><strong>Profinet</strong></b>, and <b><strong>EtherNet/IP</strong></b></li><li>Design, manage, and optimize <b><strong>SQL and NoSQL databases</strong></b> for manufacturing data systems</li><li>Perform <b><strong>data analysis</strong></b>, including <b><strong>trend identification</strong></b>, <b><strong>anomaly detection</strong></b>, and <b><strong>predictive insights</strong></b> using tools like <b><strong>Power BI</strong></b> and <b><strong>Tableau</strong></b></li><li>Develop <b><strong>scalable, reusable, and well-documented code</strong></b> across multiple programming environments</li><li>Support <b><strong>version control</strong></b>, <b><strong>code optimization</strong></b>, and <b><strong>continuous improvement initiatives</strong></b></li><li>Collaborate directly with clients, providing <b><strong>technical leadership</strong></b>, <b><strong>on-site commissioning</strong></b>, and <b><strong>system support</strong></b></li><li>Train operators and stakeholders on <b><strong>SCADA/MES platforms</strong></b> and ensure ongoing system performance</li><li>Contribute to <b><strong>full-stack development</strong></b>, including <b><strong>frontend and backend web applications</strong></b></li></ul><p><b><strong>Technical Skills & Qualifications</strong></b></p><ul><li>Strong experience with <b><strong>SCADA</strong></b>, <b><strong>MES</strong></b>, and <b><strong>Track and Trace systems</strong></b> in <b><strong>manufacturing environments</strong></b></li><li>Proficiency in programming languages such as <b><strong>Python</strong></b>, <b><strong>Java</strong></b>, <b><strong>C++</strong></b>, <b><strong>C#</strong></b>, or <b><strong>Visual Basic (.NET)</strong></b></li><li>Experience with <b><strong>SQL databases</strong></b> (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and <b><strong>NoSQL technologies</strong></b></li><li>Knowledge of <b><strong>web technologies</strong></b> including <b><strong>HTML</strong></b>, <b><strong>CSS</strong></b>, <b><strong>JavaScript</strong></b>, <b><strong>Node.js</strong></b>, <b><strong>PHP</strong></b>, and <b><strong>ASP.NET MVC</strong></b></li><li>Familiarity with <b><strong>Docker</strong></b>, <b><strong>Virtual Machines</strong></b>, and modern deployment environments</li><li>Hands-on experience with <b><strong>PLC programming</strong><- Location Cambridge, ON
