Looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Machinery Mechanic to join our Crew Full time position - Monday to Friday ( Option to work on Saturdays) Starting wage is 25$ an hour with the ability to grow! Benefits after 1year of employment *Duties will include: * * Inspecting bulldozers, excavators, rock trucks and other heavy construction equipment for proper performance, and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions * Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required * Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools * Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers? specifications * Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment * Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms * May perform repair work on heavy trucks *Minimum Requirements:* Minimum of three (3) year of directly related experience regarding the following: * Strong Understanding in: * Diesel Engines and all components * Heavy duty Truck Steering, Suspension, Brake, & Transmission Systems * Hydraulic Systems (Repair/change worn or failed hoses) * Electrical repairs * Ability to use tools and equipment required to perform the work (e.g. hand and power tools, etc.) * Ability to handle 100 lbs of weight * Ability to work independently and as a team member. * Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history. * Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, with a clean drivers abstract Work Remotely * No Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: * Ilderton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Experience: * mechanical: 1 year (preferred) * Heavy duty mechanic: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Journeyman (preferred) Work Location: In person
