*Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) ? Full-Time / Part-Time* We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our dedicated veterinary team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about animal care, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service. As a key member of our team, you will support veterinarians in both medical and surgical procedures while contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the clinic. *Key Responsibilities* * Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, surgical procedures, and treatments, ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow. * Perform and manage laboratory procedures, including sample collection (blood, urine, fecal), blood draws, ear and skin cytology, blood smears, and in-house diagnostic testing. * Accurately administer medications (oral, injectable, IV), perform precise drug calculations, and maintain controlled drug logs in compliance with regulatory standards. * Prepare patients for surgical and diagnostic procedures, including proper restraint, sedation monitoring, anesthetic induction, endotracheal intubation, and anesthesia monitoring. * Monitor hospitalized and post-operative patients, recognizing and promptly reporting any abnormalities or complications. * Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using practice management software, ensuring all treatments, communications, and observations are properly documented. * Educate and communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment plans, preventative care, nutrition, and post-operative instructions to support optimal patient outcomes. * Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments, equipment, and treatment areas in accordance with clinic protocols and infection control standards. * Support inventory management, including stocking, ordering, and organizing medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. * Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, efficient, and supportive work environment. *Qualifications & Experience* * Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing with the OAVT (or eligible for registration in Ontario). * Minimum 1?2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting preferred; new graduates with strong clinical placements are welcome to apply. * Strong technical skills in anesthesia monitoring, laboratory diagnostics, and patient handling. * Experience with in-house laboratory equipment and diagnostic procedures is highly preferred. * Proficiency in veterinary practice management software (Avimark) is an asset. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach. * Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and high standards of patient care.
