Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Interior. Tasks: Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Develop and prepare design sketches. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Estimate costs and materials. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements. Type of drafting: Detailing drafting. Computer and technology knowledge: Tekla. Internet. Desktop applications. File management software. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Area of specialization: Technical illustration. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication.
