*Full-Time Veterinarian Opportunity Overview* Prairie Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to animal health and welfare, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively with pet owners and team members. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality veterinary care in a supportive and collaborative environment while utilizing laboratory experience to support accurate diagnosis and treatment outcomes. *Responsibilities* * Conduct thorough examinations of animals to accurately diagnose health conditions * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs * Perform surgical procedures, vaccinations, and other medical interventions as required * Utilize laboratory experience to perform diagnostic testing and interpret results effectively * Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and overall health management * Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with veterinary standards * Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care * Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through ongoing professional development and continuing education *Requirements & Qualifications* * Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution * Must hold a Veterinary Medicine degree and/or: * at minimum passed NAVLE, * be registered for or have passed PSA, * and/or be registered for the CPE * Be in good standing with applicable veterinary associations * Valid veterinary license to practice in the province/state of employment * Laboratory experience is considered a strong asset * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Compassionate and professional approach toward animals and their owners * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail * Commitment to ethical veterinary practices and ongoing professional growth Experience is negotiable.
